HORSIES

I found pictures of me and my horse (old horse, now...I don't go to Mona's anymore, I haven't seen Bummer since mid-December. *is sad about that) at a horse show we went to in...April. Yes, April. They're small and bad quality, and the website put watermarks and crap on them...buut, yeah. Image heavy.

That's not me. That's Sarah, she showed him in Open Western Pleasure. She was Miss MRCA (Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association) 2003)

'Nother picture of Sarah on Bummer.

My Kelser-oo (Kelsey) on her horse, Andrew. This was actually just yesterday.

Noooow we get to me! Oh, joy. Starting with Western Horsemanship. This was like the 22nd or something of April last year. You can't see me really well in ANY of these pictures, so, hah. ^_^ Mid-stride in a canter. I forget what the pattern was, but Bummer looks really cute methinks. I think I won this class.

Same class, same pattern. I think I even have this picture in a bigger form, like we bought it there...I did win this class if that's right. My Bummah looks like he's not having the best time, but his head is down (for him with me on his back. He arches his neck, and I have short reins for the class. That's my excuse to anyone on my flist who knows about this stuff.) I think Bummer is cute here, too, and it's a neat pose.

English Equitation, which is the same as Horsemanship but in, you know, English. I look really short when I'm in English, don't I. Hmm. Bummer isn't an English horse, he's a poor old Western man (he'll be 24 in April) but he does well for me when I ask. He's over-arched here, with his neck, but at least his nose isn't in the air like everyone else had. *Smug*

My hat is evil and comes down over my eyes. Equitation again. Tsk Bummer, close your mouth...you can put up with me being a bad rider and tugging on you. I know you Bum-boy!

ANOTHER Eq picture. Bummmaahhh is flicking his ears back at me. I was prolly talking to him, I often say 'Easy boy, easy boy, whoooooooaaaa boy, keep it up, don't stop, just eaaasy' when I'm in the ring, but when I forget, it's bad. I was sitting at a trot, I can even tell that. Apparently the pattern had a figure eight. Damn, I look hot. *Eye roll* Though I always loved how hunt clothes made me look. With the white shirt and jackets, I think I look pretty good. Those boots are very elegant, but I can never feel my legs...

English Pleasure, where we just show our paces. What is Bummer doing here? I have no idea. He looks to not be having much fun, poor guy. I know he secretly LOVED English, though...when we were doing our 2'3'' jumps (Yes, I am bragging, thank you. Very short jumps, actually, but when you're on a horse's back, it seems much taller) he would perk his ears up and just go BOOIIINNNNGGG. So cute. Too bad he refused the jumps at the Fall Harvest, but I was terrified in front of people... (I should also be rising from the saddle in this picture. I'm on the wrong diagonal. Ugg.)

English Pleasure in the other direction, same gait, at a trot. I'm on the correct diagonal. Yay. Bummer looks better in this picture, and his tail looks cute. I don't know how. Just does. I looooveeed Bummer's tail at shows, so soft and pretty.

English Pleasure line up. I think I was talking to Kelsey, cause in the next picture it's her looking in the opposite direction as I am. Um, yeah, we're not supposed to do that. Tee hee, everyone does as SOON as the judge's card is in, though, because we can complain and congratulate each other and the like. I have a few horse show friends, but I never got any real good pals...I was on speaking basis with a lot of girls though, even if we didn't know each other's names. Bummer looks slightly annoyed here.

Western Pleasure. Bummer. Is. Stretching. Out. I could never get him to go really nice for me in the show arena...I was always afraid he'd go 'trashy', or half canter/half trot. Gah. Looking at this picture makes me cringe slightly.

Bummer = teh bored. Tee hee. They wrote on my face, but Bummer looks cute. He's about to fall asleep, I bet.

Of course the last one is when you can actually see my face. I hate it...I have a pretty horsie, don't look at my face. *Twitch. Cringe.* I look really bad in here, on top of the fact that I'm not pretty.

Hmm...I'm glad I got better horse show clothes. I did upgrade to better stuff through the summer...though I still love those blue chaps, and that sparkly blue slinky I wore for western under that vest. When I have just it, black jeans, and black chaps...I'm hot. Oh yes. ^_^ Though I have a shirt of Sarah's it's purple and silver swirly and half see-through...ooh, I love that one too.

Annnnd that's all. Lots of piccies, but yeah. I liked ranting about them. Mmmhmmm. I don't show anymore, and I don't see Bummer either. Looking at these made me almost miss it, though. Not horsemanship or eq, I was always ready to throw-up from fear at those even though I usually went through with flying colors...but Pleasure classes. I can just feel my heart pounding, and tugging back on the reins to keep Bummer nice, and sitting back and loping along...getting all warm and nervous, but I wish I had that feeling back. When I was IN the show arena, I was at peace, even though I was terrified out of my mind. If I could go back to Bummer and showing without Mona to bite my head off every five mintues and push me into things I don't want to do, I really would...

Hmm, I need to write. God, I haven't done that at ALL today. Lazy Maddy...I'll prolly make a horse show icon instead, though. *Headdesk*

Well, I don't think I'm pretty either most of the time, but everyone else seems to, so I listen to them :)
