Maeve basically got all the horses Tammy is running today in the Breeders' Cup races. Seth took any second horses she was running, but I think there were only three. And Mae has 7 out of 7 races to ride in today. She's very happy.
And she won the Distaff (Moonlight's Raven, a 3-year-old filly by Blaze Black, out of Moonlight Wish. Sister to the lurvely Triple Crown winner Blaze Comet. She's the cutest little filly...BLACK, with a stripe that light feathers off around the sides and goes and covers only half of the front of her nose. She's a good runner, might win Eclipse?) and got second in the Juvie Fillies (Just Insane. Tee hee, by Justa Risk, out of Insane Crazy. She kicks butt, though Justa Risk is a MAJOR sprinter, as is Insane Crazy, though she could go a mile. Justie will probably be more of a sprinter, but she did well here.) Seth got a rather good 4th on a horse named Gray Sunset that Liz trains.
Mile horsies galore, I say. Seth and Mae had mounts, and Seth got a close close second with a colt named Flying Fish (Honestly, they bought him, and it's an amusing name. He's by their stallion, Dark Flyer, out of a mare named Ocean School.) and Mae was 5th with a gelding (Tammy continues to buy horses from Keith's dad, but only occasionally. He owns a bunch of horses named after MST3k movies/shorts, which is why I love him. This one was by Soultaker, out of GirlInGoldBoots. His name is Dr. Z. Blood Waters of Dr. Z.) And THEN it was the Sprint, and, well, Mae continues to love Tammy. With all these little Insane Crazy horses running around, they tend to constantly win many, many sprint races. (This time with Spark of Insanity. By Spark of Brilliance, out of Insane Crazy. She's 4, she's golden chestnut, and she's faster than the rest of the horsies. Yay.)
Tammy bought a KICK ASS long distance turf mare, and Maeve won on her as well (Mimesis, she ran a lot in Europe. By Caricature, out of Meme. She's a darkish dapple gray with black mane/tail/legs, 4-year-old mare. Very big, very pretty.)
We still have the Turf, Juvenille, and Classic. Seth has a mount in the Juvie, and of course Mae is on someone in all three. Everyone knows that Shadow Lake kicks ass, and it's funny to watch them. I'm guessing we're gonna win the Juvie and Classic. Yes, I have decided. Well, I don't know. Still. 3 wins, two seconds, a 4th and a 5th. KICKING BUTT.
I shall be back. *Wanders off to watch the real life Breeders' Cup.*
OH...and don't ask who I want to win the classic. I'll just end up saying..."AZERI! Oh, oh, GHOSTZAPPER! Wait, no, FUNNY CIDE!" then walk away crying.
