perididdleI had a show today. It wasn't too horrid. I did bad at Showmanship, but I think I kinda rocked at English Pleasure (though against all those stretchy, Ha Ha Look At Me I'm Built Like A Frikin Hunter-Jumper Secretariat, I only got...4th or 5th, forget). English Equitation...different story all together...umm...yeah.
Western was just icky. I got like a 4th in Western Pleasure, and surprisingly enough third in Horsemanship, but only cause of my seat and the way I rode and the fact that two other people screwed up worse than I did. YAY!
Peggy (Bummer's owner) was there today. We didn't know if she was going to decide to take him home or let me use him another year. She pretty much came to see how we worked together and how he was doing. And I was all pumped and ready to show her how good I was with him and that I'd be lost without him...then the day actually went along and, obviously, I wasn't doing very well. She didn't show up till Western, which SUCKED, cause if she'd seen me in English Pleasure I woulda so felt better. But nearing my later classes I was getting really nervous and stuff, though at that point I thought she left, actually. But then Kelsey said she saw Peggy and I kinda went 'Oh my god' and I almost started crying in the middle of the warm-up arena cause I was so sure she had already decided to take him home after the classes she'd seen.
But before my last class, I took Bummer down to the stalls and started brushing as much sweaty icky mud I could off the white part of his coat and Peggy came over and talked to me. She said she still didn't know, but she really couldn't take him until school was over for her, and that was still a few months, so I have that much. I think I kinda exhaled with relief, cause she laughed.
And Mona says that if she doesn't decide by May 1st, she's committed for the show season and we couldn't give my Bum boy back till the end of November. *Grin*
Hmm...either way he's gonna end up going home. I'm gonna cry my head off the day he does. Sigh.
On a lighter note...I got to drink some of that BAWLS soda. YEP! Go look at thinkgeek.com and see it.
