Okay, I'm pissed now.

I went back to the Ellen Degeneres boards at imdb.com, where someone posted a topic of 'Nasty Lesbian' with an inside message of 'ewww'. And it really pissed me off. My reply (the first one, in fact) was...

"The fact that you think Ellen is, quote unquote, "nasty", just because she is a lesbian shows exactly how idiotic and narrow minded you are. If you don't like it, keep your opinions to yourself, and just plain don't come to visit this board! It's not that difficult, because it's clear that you've targeted her without even attempting to just stay away from her page.

I myself think that Ellen D. is a brilliant comedian (and her sexuality shouldn't change how you see her as that, BTW) and a wonderful person, and the fact that she came out in a society that obviously has problems with people that are just a little different from others shows that she's brave enough to risk a career and support from other comedians and actors and fans, and I think that's great, and I look up to her. If you think differently, fine, but don't go around saying that in a fashion that ever so clearly flaunts your complete ignorance and rudeness to others, complete strangers at that.

(Oh, and if you're scared of homosexuality in general...you know what THAT means! ^_^)"

I just HATE people who think that people should be judged by their sexuality. What's so damn wrong with a woman loving a woman, or a man loving a man? We're all smart enough to know that it's okay to be yourself and have your own views and, err, preferences. But we, apparently, as a group, think anything a little off of what nature intended is wrong and disgusting and inhuman. IT'S NOT.

I have friends who are gay and bi. I have muses who are gay. Hell, a person in my family who is very close to me is gay as well. I've known her for 12 and a half years and not once has she let people diss her without a fight. I love her with all my heart, and the fact that she came out makes me so proud of her. She's not afraid to just be who she is. Love you, Jesse.

Back to my pissed off rant...the Bible basically says it's wrong for someone to love someone of the same sex, correct? Well, I'm really sorry to anyone this might offend, but screw that. We live in a time where people are more independent and where we're discovering things. Some people discover that, hey, forget the opposite sex, I feel more attracted to that gal/guy that I know from my same-sex workplace/school/whatever! And all the more power to them. They're not afraid to be different, to step out of the mold that the government and religion has set up for us. Granted, they may not come out to the whole world, screaming it at the top of their lungs. Cause people are stupid. THEY want to fit in that mold. THEY don't want to be "different". THEY don't want to know anyone "different". THEY are narrow minded, well-to-do, idiots.

I might not be making any sense. I don't really know how to express my views in a way that other people find easy to follow. I feel strongly about this. I want it to be legal for gays to get married. I want our society to stop treating them so differently. They're not DEFORMED, people. It's not contagious, or something. They aren't sick. They're just people, with their own minds, and feelings, and thoughts, and hopes, and dreams, and views. Give them a break.

Hey, Mr. Bush, LAY OFF THE IDIOT NEW ACT YOU'RE TRYING TO PASS. STOP TREATING PEOPLE WITH A DIFFERENT SEXUALITY THAN YOU LIKE TRASH. THEY DESERVE BENEFITS, TOO. What are you going to do next, oh idiot president of ours? Make it illegal to be gay? Start making public places have three rest rooms...Men, Women, and Gays? Make people start walking around wearing something that clearly expresses their sexuality, and if they're gay or bi, then give others full right to pelt them with rotten fruit? Huh, Mr. President? Quite frankly, I've always hated you. But lately, you're hitting a nerve, dude. Am I gay? I dunno. I don't think it's possible to decide that now. But I do want people that are to have rights. Again, they're people, too, Mr. Bush. Your people. Do what's right for them, god damnit. Isn't THAT your job? Isn't THAT what you're supposed to do?

*Heavy sigh* Okay, yeah, it doesn't make sense. I couldn't fit my rant into a nice little organized table. But it's how I feel.
