I'm so close to finishing Storm Front, it's ANNOYING me. I got through around 80-90 pages this morning (no school, though actually I don't feel all that bad...I didn't complain, though. Meh, I've missed 5 days of school so far. *Sigh*) I have this thing where I can't read if I'm constantly looking at the page number. It drives me mad. So usually, when I'm half asleep is the only time I can read for long periods of time. I'm on page 296 out of 322, and I just can't get through it.

Even though, you know, it KICKS ASS. I lurve Jim Butcher. He's the bestest.

Now...I have to do a book report on it. I decided this BEFORE I read the book...so before I knew about the random prostitutes, cursing, sex parties and nakedness. I have to dumb it down to a level where I can talk about it...which I'm actually rather good at, after doing random, spur of the moment book reviews in Mrs. Mac's class (YOU try it. I reviewed A'MAEL, and used my pen name for the author...she didn't know, and said it could be on the internet, so *shrug* But damn, I couldn't talk about barns or Willses or any of that good stuff...) but it's going to make me cringe. I hope I can just cast the movie and do a preview. The book would work as just a straight to movie transfer, kinda. I would take out the love potion. I'll prolly have to, so I can avoid THAT little scene.

But I have a preview constantly running in my mind...I'm thinking, starts out Harry (played by James Marsters, of course) being woken up by a phone call. From Karrin Murphy (Insert me wishing Bernadette Peters was around 30-40. She would be so cute here...maybe Elisabeth Rohm. If she were shorter...meh. Oh well. Shall figure it out later), telling him to come down to the hotel thing. Cue voice over from Harry, talking about what he does, and bits of that kind of keep going over parts of the next bits. Shots of Karrin opening the door to the hotel, and then one of those weird 'pan around the apartment, cut to reaction, then slowly pan to a somehow partial shielded view of the bodies' things that you see on TV. Quick clips of 'magic did this' banter, and then SOMETHING here, and then cut to a shot of Monica Sells (Prolly Amber Benson) sitting on the front doorsteps. Very edited 'find my husband' convo, shot of her running off, the scorpion talisman, then someone wacking him upside the head and dragging him into Johnny Marcone's (Ron Rifkin. Yah man.) limo. Cue 'Do I have a great job, or what?'

Then I'm thinking it could go Serenity comic con trailerish...bunches of short, fast clips, with some kind of odd music...
Susan at the pub (Charisma. Maybe. Eh.)
Toot
Morgan (Tony? HEH) with the sword,
Shot of Bob (Tony would work here as a voice, too)
making potions
Bianca (Catherine Zeta-Jones?) morphing into vampire form
the toad-demon,
working spells in the storm
Shadowman version of Victor Sells (Christian Kane, perhaps?)
Linda Randall (Juliet Lewis prolly)/Dead Linda Randall
Crazy ThreeEye guy
Murphy and Harry and the lovely giant scorpion
Something with Monica Sells...maybe a haunted kind of line about Victor going bad, or the drug.
Smashing Morgan upside the head with a chair
Harry speeding to Victor's house, then getting out of the car, and well I dunno. I haven't finished, but previews are supposed to not give the ending away, I'm thinking it could end with a shot of him having closed his eyes, then like a warped slight change in scenery and he opens his eyes and they're either completely black or completely white. Third sightness, and all.

Then, of course, snap to black, with 'Storm Front' on the screen...and a voiceover line that I can't come up with now. Ending it with a "Ever consider a different job? One with money, girls...less death..." "Not now Bob." kinda moment, right before the 'Coming Next Spring' or whatever screen. Cept the moment wouldn't be that crappy...t'would be that just MAYBE does poor Bob justice...

Yeah, cheesy...but I can't get it out of my head. *Shrug* Lisha, help!
